I love the quote 'it is the intersection that matters', and indeed, within the growing faculties of Grievance Studies, there is an intersection of bullshit. Corrupt to the core, and Boghossian's 'idea laundering' concept is perfect.

One additional thought, the defining characteristic of these DEI commissars is the lack of grace and ability to forgive. Although framed in nice words, the DEI ideology in practice appears to be an attempt by certain actors to breed resentment in society at large.

If you ever have a chance to get into he details of how Richard Bilkszto was treated in what were de facto Struggle Sessions, any decent person would be simply disgusted. We have to end this madness.

I’m so sorry to read about what happened to you and I hope things turn around soon. More people are speaking out about this issue every day so I’m hoping this fanatical period will burn itself out in the coming years. I’ve also lost friends and colleagues to this ideology (the arts are overflowing with it) but essays like the one you have written help me remember I’m not alone. Also - you were fantastic on Peter Boghossian’s podcast! Hang in there!!!
